The very first thought that pondered me after watching the latest movie 'mumbai meri jaan' was have really the media standards have fallen so much. every bit of incidents shown in movie about media seems to be true.one can easily co-relate the incidents shown in movie with the common life. a recent incident can be taken of the 'Aarushi murder case'. the greiving mother of the Aarushi was being coaxed to answer ques, answering which could be a herculean task for any mother on any fine day. it seems that nowdays journalism has become criticism. a girl is raped and media doesn't even thinks once before high lighting that person. social life of not only that person but also his family is ruined.girl is unable to go in public.her family is outcasted . situation becomes worse when the news channels just to increase the trp's start airing programs as 'gajodhar ki holi' and other such programs.the other day i was desirous of watching some news.i kept on surfing from one to other channel and learned about the strategies adapted by a daughter-in-law to outsmart her mother-in-law and sister-in-law(saas bahu aur sazish),thereafter i came to know about comments made by harbhajan and yuvraj on salman in a reality show.and then some newly born cricketers commenting on how suchin should take the ball outside off stump.etc. this long saga continued for one hour and i was unable to even hear the days headlines. to my relief finnaly i reached CNN and TIMES NOW. where i had some real taste of journaliism.
such thoughts kept wondering me are we really aware of what all is going in our sorroundings. will ever this scenario of news channel will change and we whether we will ever see the real news rather squabbling of news reortes on irrelevant issues. i understand that i am hoping against hopen but still i wish it could be true....
